The Birth of PowerThinking
The term “PowerThinking” was first introduced by New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author James Michael Pratt in his newest novel, As a Man Thinketh…In His Heart. Seeking a way to benefit the highest numbers of people possible with the insights he felt inspired to share in the self-improvement novel, author Pratt contacted his friend of twenty-five years, Mark B. Kastleman, to explore the possibility of forming a company dedicated to creating “PowerThinkers” among the millions of self-improvement enthusiasts seeking the next level of personal growth. Thus was born Power Think.
James Michael Pratt is the “brand name” recognized by Jim’s world-wide fan base of eight bestselling novels and two parenting memoirs. This latest work was inspired from the belief that the beloved century old James Allen book, As a Man Thinketh, read by millions worldwide since its first publication in 1902 and still selling well, should follow the message of the entire text of a King Solomon aphorism offered over 3,000 years ago:
“As a man thinketh, in his heart, so is he.”
This well-known statement has been thought of as a metaphor by most readers, and clearly accepted as the premise for “thought precedes action and thus circumstance,” as referenced by James Allen’s estimated 50 million copy bestseller.
Thoughts are things, which is the basis behind Power Think. The way we think is the way our lives are revealed to us in physical form, and the intimidating thing is neuroscience has proven that the human brain wants to think non-stop. The brain never gives up on seeking new patterns of thought, habituation, and craves constant stimulation; and our “Golden Information Age” offers just that possibility. What the ancients knew, and what we have a choice in reviving is a “heart-minded” world, where “speed” and “content” are not as important as “when” and “what” we choose to think.
There is a new world awaiting those caught up in a stressed-out, life-at-light-speed, brain-centered world. It involves tapping into ancient wisdom through the intimate and caring life-sustaining heart, and giving it a chance to rule us in the ever-growing dominated realm of cerebral focused life-styles.
Mark B. Kastleman’s ten years of research, along with the growing body of evidence in the neuroscience community that cognitive-intuitive capacity is not the domain of the cranium-encased brain alone, has found a home with the assertion from Pratt’s novel introducing Power Think and “Power Thinking.” That is, that “heart-centered thoughts”—those internalized by the intelligent and intuitive heart—are the most powerful forms of thought.
